Handheld camera sees through walls, screens people and packages for weapons, explosives and contraband

SOMERVILLE, Mass.—November 21, 2011—Walleye™ Technologies, the global leader in handheld and portable millimeter wave imaging systems, announced today that it is taking orders for its 24S Security Camera. Walleye recently announced the initial order of the 24S Security camera from EG&G Middle East. Orders will be scheduled for delivery in early 2012.

The 24S Security Camera screens people and packages for weapons, explosives and contraband. This handheld, battery-powered unit can provide a lower-cost alternative to the typical pass-through or walk-through screening devices currently in use in many security applications. Because the camera is lightweight and portable, it can also be utilized in a new range of security applications, such as screening packages within trucks or cargo bays, and identifying objects behind walls or in field situations. The millimeter wave camera allows the user to identify objects through opaque surfaces at a distance.
