Walleye™ Technologies to Begin Shipment of Worlds First Handheld Millimeter Wave Camera for the Homeland Security Market PDF Print E-mail

SOMERVILLE, Mass. — July 29, 2011 — Walleye™ Technologies, the world leader in handheld millimeter wave imaging systems, will begin shipping the new Walleye 24S camera this fall. The camera is lightweight, portable and runs on rechargeable batteries.

Camera screens people and packages for weapons and explosives.

The high-performance camera is capable of screening people, packages or concealed locations for contraband, explosives or weapons. The millimeter wave camera has been in development for a number of years and the effort has been led by the engineering team at Walleye and with collaborators at leading academic institutions.
